Are there areas in the U.S. covered by more than one telephone company and that use their own equipment? Is it wishful thinking that there would be multiple telephone companies that service your area? I believe it's true regardless where you live and that it's called a technical monopoly? I'm happy with mine but others are not. Unfortunately, other than moving I think the only way around for people who are unhappy is for cell phone service or VOIP. I ordered and paid for some sporting equipment by telephone which hasn't arrived? I saw the products on the company's website and 'phoned to see if they had the stock; they said they did so I went ahead, ordered and paid, using my credit card. My card was debited the next day. The company has in writing, on its website, that it delivers within 3-5 days, it is now 10-days since my order and so far, nothing ..... | have spoken to the manager at the company who said he is checking with the delivery firm and will phone me back ---- so far, no phone call. Since placing my order, which amounts to a few hundred pounds, I have read umpteen negative reviews about this company, listing complaints similar to mine. Some people are still waiting for refunds. Am I within my rights to cancel the order before/if it arrives? How can I secure a full refund? Can I claim the money back through my credit card? I am really disappointed and upset as I already feel I've been ripped off.
Is there anyway to use a SIM card with a cordless home telephone? I added another line to my ATT account to get an early upgrade while tweaking my plan so it virtually cost me nothing. Can Lightning Damage your equipment although there is proper grounding? My company has an insurance claim against damage caused by lightning. Does anyone have a direct dial telephone number for a UK call centre for BT?? I have spent two hours on the phone today getting passed from call centre to call centre (all outside the UK) and no one seems to have a clue!!! I have been charged twice for installation of my new broadband service. The BT engineer called once and was unable to install due to faulty equipment. I got new HUB and installed it myself. This is a wrong charge as it stands, but they have charged me on one of the installation charges for £765.90 plus VAT. My total bill for the month comes to £1049.58. Cordless telephone base won't register handset #2. I need instructions on how to fix problem.? EQUIPMENT...Northwestern Bell 5.8ghz cordless telephone set, with built-in answering machine. The set includes a base with its own phone plus one additional phone, with its own charging base. I also bought 2 extra telephones with separate charging bases. This unit will handle 4 phones total, which I have. PROBLEM...When I attempt to register the four handsets to the base, I always get #1, #3 and #4. No #2, no matter what I do. Even when I switch batteries and the order in which I register the four handsets, #2 never comes up. All the handsets do this, so it is not the handsets. It must be the base. How do I get the base to designate one of the handsets "#2"? I'm tired of the fourth cordless always reading "register telephone?"
