What is a good small business telephone system? I'm researching a good (cost vs quality) small business telephone system. Have any ideas? The following features are a must: - Transfer - Intercom (between phones) - Intercom (overhead speakers) - Expandable up to at least 12 extensions (I'd like at least 15) I'd *like* the following: - Music on hold - The ability to see which phones line are being used (or see what extensions are on the phone) - Speed dial - Ability to use external flash feature to transfer to outside phones (be able to flash the CO Line) There's no requirements on ease of setup-- I'll spend 300 hours if I need to put something good in. My budget is around $1500. Any suggestions?
How much will it cost to have an entirely new telephone wiring system installed at my house? My broadband speed is not up to scratch. I have decided that it is because of the extremely poor telephone wiring in my house! How much will it cost to have the entire system replaced? Including the master socket and its connection to the external/main telephone network. Please help!!! Does anybody have any ideas as to how much this would cost roughly? Any help given is much appreciated!!! I am using a wireless network. It is not my LAN that needs replacing. It is my actual phone wiring. It is a pre-1980 system and a lot of the wires are damaged and have bare wiring exposed. I definately have a problem with the wiring. Also, I have contacted my provider. The ran a speed test. I get maximum speed external to my house, but I dont seem to get this speed from within.
What is the difference between an IP-Pbx telephone system and a normal PBX? So i am looking for a telphone system for my small sized company. We need something that provides us one phone number but in case the line is busy another staff member can get the diverted call even though he/she is sitting in a completely seperate country. What are the differences between IP-PBX and normal PBX systems. We have roughly 14 employees so would need around that many phone lines of similar numbers. Thank you. P:s could you also link some product if u have in mind thanks.
What are the advantages of VOIP over a normal home telephone system? I haven't got much of an idea what I'm looking at, I need to buy a new phone for the house but I've seen some which are compatible with VOIP but are expensive, is it worth the extra money. Any advice on the whole system would be great. I currently have a BT line and service and Sky TV with broadband package. Most phone usage will be evenings and weekend.
The Band Committee of 100 people wishes to set up a telephone call system? Could someone help me with this word problem? The Band Committee of 100 people wishes to set up a telephone call system. The initial contact person calls three other people, each of whom call three others and so on, until all the people in the Band Committee have been contacted. What is the maximum number of people they need to make the calls.
How should I wire a telephone system going from one point to multiple points? I have 2 lines in one room of the house that I want to distribute to 8 other jacks in the house. Would I use a 66 block for this type of wiring? I am assuming that the 8 rooms need to be connected in parallel with the main line, but I am not sure of the proper way to do this. I read something about star topology but wasn't too sure what that meant. Thanks in advance.
What type of Telephone System, PABX can solve this issue? Points B and C are local, while A is a long distance station. I want to call from A to C. Now A and C are charged long distance. But I have a virtual hotline between A and B, which costs me nothing. At point B, I want such a telephone/pabx system, that can intake two phone lines, and one phone line, I use the A-B hotline for a free call to B, and use the other phone line to connect B to C (which will be a local call) so that effectively, my call from A to C becomes a local call also. So here is how it should go: Sitting at A, I dial B on line 1 at B. Then I dial a predefined extension and the device at B uses line 2 at B to call C, and then let A talk to C using these two lines. Any variation is also acceptable. Do such systems exist. What are they called. Where should I start looking for purchasing one.
How to buy an automated telephone call system? I want to set up a system where people can call to find out about the weather and an automated voice will tell them the weather. So this is a system where the weather info will be recorded in advance and people can call, at a charge, to learn it. It can also be used to listen to the joke of the day, or to find out your daily horoscope, etc. But I have no idea how these systems are called and I cannot search form them. Does anyone know the technical name or even anyone who might be selling these systems?
Has anyone programmed a TIE telephone system? Is it plug and play or is there a lot of programming involved? Is it programmed with a station phone? Where can I find a manual? The customer asking does not no the model number...
How would I go about creating a telephone information system? I want to create a service where people can call in and get information. They will call in and get a ..."Press 1 to hear about this. Press 2 to hear about that. Press 3 to hear about our special other stuff." You get the idea. I don't need it to transfer the call to anything, just play the information and hang up. (Although, transfering would be nice.) I'm willing to pay for it, but I don't want to pay too much. :) Thanks!
Do you think businesses could do a better job at programming their automated telephone answering system? Most businesses have some sort of automation in their telephone system. Some answer the phone, others route the call based on the caller's input (press [1] for this; [2] for that), yet others present caller requested data (bank-by-phone, informational hotlines, etc.) Do they all have to sound so poorly, and must they be so user-unfriendly? They never seem to offer the menu choice you called for. Have you heard any that are particularly awful...or worthy of congratulations for a job well done? Let us know.
Is there any automated telephone answering system worse than UPS? I just got off the phone with a user agent with UPS, after trying to use their voice recognition based customer service program. It was bar none, the worst experience with one of these telephone bots I have ever experienced. Almost never a functional response or offering, you have to cuss or insult the machine three times before it will connect you with a user agent, and Operator, help me please and a wide variety of other phrases are totally ignored. UPS has lost my business until they can find some way to solve this problem. My question is, has anyone seen or heard of anything else as bad? To try the system out dial: 1-800-833-9943
Looking for owner's manual for Panasonic KX-F3500 Telephone answering system with fax? This is an older machine. Panasonic no longer supports or has manuals. Machine still works fine. Has had little use. Thermal paper type. Problem: I have no owner's manual to program it. This is a KX-F3500 "Telephone Answering System with Facsimile". It was, I think one of the Easa-Phone Series, of the 1990's. Does anyone have a manual they could let mne have, borrow, or scan and email the jpg files, or anything?
I have a norstar telephone system at home. I have 7 sets on the system.? I want to add a portable wireless telephone to use outdoors. I purchased a telephone, but when I put it in the jack (the same one that my norstar tel works on), the portable unit does not give me a dial tone. The tel technician checked the wiring in the jack and says it is ok. What else can I do to get this to work?
