Toshiba Phone System

Hosted Pbx Knowledge Base

Curious to know if any small business is initerested in hosted PBX? Hosted PBX is the notion that your service providers hosts your phone system for you. Then over an IP connection you are connected to that service provider. You don't have to manage anything. you simply plug ini your IP phone. Who is familiar with this concept?
Can somebody explain the benefits of a Hosted PBX product? Compare a Hosted pbx to your typical ATT copper line and DSL product. What does the hosted pbx have that your usual telephone and internet does not. I ask because I recently started a position with an IT company that sells a Hosted product (along with SIP and PRI). I was hoping to get some nice selling points (other than that we're more affordable :) ) Thanks

I have a Hosted PBX by a Telecom Provider, I need another Phone. Do I have to use the provider's phone? Hello, I use a Hosted PBX system in my office. We already contract 3 phones from them and each phone has their own phone number. I need to add another phone, is it possible for me to buy from someone else and connect it to the PBS system provided by the provider? I didn't realize that there were cheaper alternatives out there and unfortunately I have one more year left in our contract. Thank you.

Does anyone have a small business telephony suggestion? Ours is a small non-profit business that will have two telephone lines and would like to be able to offer some options for callers to get information before having to talk to someone in person (or even instead of talking to someone in person). I have seen the Virtual (hosted) PBX options but would prefer to have a software package that handles this for me. Saw Axon but the lack of contact and about-us information makes me a little leary. To give you some ideas of what we will be wanting: Auto-Attendant probably five choices - two will route to extensions, the other three will be recorded information. We will also need inbound fax capability (would like that internet driven also) but not need outbound. Do any of you have suggestions for what I might want to look at? Thanks for your time - greatly appreciated.
Telecom options for business? What kind of equipment is needed/what is involved in ordering any of these services for my growing sm-med size business? Integrated Voice & Data T-1, PRI & SIP Termination, or Hosted IP PBX. I understand that Hosted IP PBX is VOIP, correct? So I would not need to purchase a PBX/switch. But what equipment is still required on my end that the circuit connects to in order to bring the service into my office? Same with the others. Feel free to use as plain and simple terminology as possible. Technology is not my forte.
Is it possiable to host my own? is it possiable to host my own VOIP Phone System with autoattendant and PBX, on a server and have all the features? If so what company sells a complete package?
VOIP question? We have an allworx system here and we had a networking guy configure it as our router and pbx. Basically it has capabilities of a router and a PBX also a hosting server but cant be a data server. We also have a panasonic pbx and have a landline connected to the allworx system. I was wondering if the allworx system can work without a landline connected to it. Can the allworx system get the landline through the configuration of the system which then can work through the internet and not landline? If you do this can you not use your phone service provider? Or is it that you just dont use their service in the sense of paying for local, domestic and international calls? then doesnt that mean when u have ur own router + PBX u have a server already. So you are your own phone service provider in that sense of is it that u can provide phone service to to others?

Why did Roger Ailes of Fox ask his Right-wing hosts to "tone it down"? If the Cons think that Liberals are making things up about Right-wingers spewing violent rhetoric, then why did the top person at Fox ask his hosts to "tone it down"? That would mean that Roger Ailes is admitting that Right-winger hosts ARE spewing violent & threatening rhetoric. So don't take the Liberal's word for it, take the head of Fox's word for it - that Right-wingers ARE out of line and need to "tone it down". And since Cons here are always in denial, and will claim they never heard of this and that I'm making it up - here's the link on Google News of all the news websites reporting on Ailes saying this: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=roger+ailes#sclient=psy&hl=en&biw=1280&bih=685&tbs=nws:1&q=roger+ailes+tone&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&pbx=1&fp=4f47765c364753ee

Hosted VoIP or Buy and Install a PBX? First I want to say I love Yahoo Answers. My last post was answered right away and the response was great. Here is my issue. I've decided I want to use VoIP for my businesses. I've heard nothing but good things and know that I can benefit from the cost savings. Also, I know that hosted VoIP is less expensive than buying an expensive PBX. But I still have some questions. If you could help me out I would appreciate it! 1. How do I know if my Internet connection is fast enough? 2. What is E911? 3. Which phones should I buy? There are a ton of options. I think I just need something basic to middle of the road. 4. What features will i get when i buy the system? What is the best service?
