Small Business Phone Systems -- PBX? Virtual PBX? Something Else? I'm planning on starting a small business that will require lots of inbound and outbound phone calls. Including conference calling and setting up conference bridges. I want to know, should I be putting money into an OnSite PBX system or a Virtual PBX system? And if either, who is the best business that provides this service?

PBX Question to the VOIP experts? Hello, I am looking into a PBX solution for a small business. It appears that most virtual PBX solutions provide you a toll-free or a local number which 'forwards' the calls to your actual phone. The problem is I do not want a 'new' number, because most callers would call to the existing phone number. Is there any virtual PBX that work with an existing phone number? i.e. to set it up in a way that callers call to the existing business number and they are greeted with the extension option of the PBX. Please share your inputs. Thanks!
Looking for a pbx system that uses cell phones as extensions? what im looking for is that when you call a land number it will give you a message such as " You have reached the offices of such and such press 1 to Connect to Smith 2 to connect with Jones" But i want it to transfer to cell phones. I know it will take two or so phone lines but that's ok... I don't want a virtual number...I want it to use my analog number. Im searching pbx systems but i don't even know what this feature would be called.
Virtual Phone Number Forwarding? Hello, I currently use PhoneBooth.com for my all my business calls. Phone booth assigns me a phone number or DID so that callers can dial this number and reach their destination. My minutes currently are too much for Phone Booth. I have my account setup so that each of my numbers are forwarded to an outside number and I don't handle Any calls at all. I use this to track where the calls are coming from and where they go. I use allot of minutes, usually around 100,000 minutes a month because most of these calls are sent to call centers. I need a service which enables me to have my phone numbers forwarded to any number i'd prefer with unlimited calling at an affordable rate. As well a nice back office setup where i can manage all my numbers. Ive looked at SIP trunking and some other services but It's a little confusing. Phonebooth right now is a Virtual PBX so it gives me more than I need. All I need is the call forwarding with unlimited minutes so im not charged huge rates. Most of the services I find are either pay per minute or very expensive unlimited calling. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.
Italy VoIP - UK Virtual Number? I am starting my own business in Italy, which will rely heavility on me being able to call my UK customers cheaply (landline and mobile), and them being able to call me on a UK number (and also divert calls to my mobile/onto and over my IP when required). I'd also like that when customers call me, they will hear a UK ring tone and not the EU one. I have looked into SYKPE, yet I am wary based on reports of unreliable call connections? I'm also unsure of whether I can warrant a PBX type system when I will be a soletrader, but perhaps they can be set up cheaply? Any solution recommendations gratefully recieved... Cheers Tom

Does anyone have a small business telephony suggestion? Ours is a small non-profit business that will have two telephone lines and would like to be able to offer some options for callers to get information before having to talk to someone in person (or even instead of talking to someone in person). I have seen the Virtual (hosted) PBX options but would prefer to have a software package that handles this for me. Saw Axon but the lack of contact and about-us information makes me a little leary. To give you some ideas of what we will be wanting: Auto-Attendant probably five choices - two will route to extensions, the other three will be recorded information. We will also need inbound fax capability (would like that internet driven also) but not need outbound. Do any of you have suggestions for what I might want to look at? Thanks for your time - greatly appreciated.

Free Virtual PBX System that forwards calls to Mobile Phone? Hi, I run a small business and I would like to have an Auto-Attendant and about 5 extensions but I dont know of any services that will do this for free. I would also like all the calls to forward to my mobile phones because our current phone system requires for us to pay $15 more for a 3rd Party VoIP service that they dont set-up.
