Does a small business need a PBX? Can't we just use cell phones? I am starting a small business with 2 partners. They want us to buy some kind of mini PBX for a business phone system. I say--no way. Can't we just use cell phones? Who wants a desk phone these days? There must be a way to buy a plan where you can transfer phone calls to each other, and maybe even have an auto-attendant feature, right? If anyone has used cell phones instead of a PBX, I would love to know what you used and how well it worked. Thanks!
Can you split a multi-line business line between 2 phones? I would like to add another phone in a room that only has one wall jack. Is it possible to use a splitter to split that line for 2 different phones. We have 4 phone lines for the business and the phones we are using can handle up to 6 phone lines but the cord looks like a regular phone cord. We tried using a regular splitter but that didn't work. Is there a splitter for multiple lines that come into the phone on one cord.

What are some good business phone companies? I am starting Monday for a media company that just launched recently and apparently they do not have any business phones yet and are using their cell phones. What is the best small-business phone system and why? I'm looking to replace my current, very old business phone system with a new model. I have tried to research for the systems offering the most features but am having a tough time figuring out which systems, if any, provide the features I need. Specifically, I need a system with auto-attendant that can be configured to ring phones in a specific order based on the callers choices. (ie. for sales, system hunts in order of 1,2,3 but for service, system hunts in order of 3,2,1) In other words, I have personel who are very good at sales but can also do customer service and also have personel who are very good at customer service but can also do sales. I want to route calls to the best people without having to dedicate any individual exclusively to one department. I also want the auto-attendant to have the capability to transfer to outside phone numbers. Lastly, I also need voice-mail capability and night attendant. I'm aware that many do these things, but which is the best?

We can't find any resources that help us find out what someone would charge for a phone number or a venue to sell it in? Any links or info would be helpful. Thanks

How to open a business selling pre-owned books or cell phones? I am looking for any information concerning either of these ideas. I am considering them both because there is not a lucrative business where I am located for neither of the two. Which of these would have a greater profit margin? Which one would be easiest to get inventory for? What licenses, authorization, or accreditations would I need? Thank you to anyone who can provide me with some form of information or lead to get information. Also, I am located in Mississippi. I'm not sure but maybe that would affect some answers. Thanks in advance.

How can I login into an account to a cell phone if it is a business phone that will not allow access? My old flame/boss recently got me an extension phone through his west central wirless plan. I told him that I will pay my part but he insists that I don't. There has been a couple of times that he doesn't pay his bill, therefore, my phone is turned off as well. I tried going online to their site to set up an account so that I can pay online and I have his info that he has given me, but it says that it's a business account and is not allowed access. I'm tired of having my phone cut off because he doesn't pay his part of the bill and would like to just be able to go online and be able to pay the bill, wether it's mine or both of ours. How can I get into that account?
