Toshiba Phone System

Which router prevents wireless speakers interference?

I currently have a Samsung home theater system with wireless speakers that interferes with my internet connection whenever it is on. I have a Cisco-Linksys WRT400N Dual-Band Wireless-N Router and although it is suppose to prevent entertainment product interference it does not. No other product such as my wireless home phones are affected. It is quite annoying since I'm unable to listen to my Ipod and play the PS3 through my theater system without losing connection to the internet. However, whenever I turn off the system I am connected within seconds. Please if anyone knows a good router I may use that will not be interefered by my speakers. P.S. Speakers and routers are located in different rooms.

  1. Get rid of the wireless speakers - that will solve the problem. Wireless speakers have always been problems for interference, etc... The issue with routers is, that dual band transmit on both bands anyway. You would have to look for a 5.8Ghz only router and upgrade all your networking adapters to 5.8Ghz adapters only...
