Toshiba Phone System

Cordless phone system for business?

A friend is looking for a cordless phone system for a business, that can take at least 6 incoming lines, has 7-10 handsets (not including the handset connected to the line.), can support extensions, allow call forwarding among handsets, and each extension having their own answering 'mailbox.' Is there any like that, or is it just wishful thinking?

  1. This site offers 4 line cordless systems. http://www.cordlessphones.com/
  2. your friend would need either a PBX with very expensive cordless phones for the PBX, or very expensive VoIP cordless phones.... why is it so important that the phones be cordless in a business enviornment employees are normally tied to there desk all day anyhow... a cheaper option for him might be cordless headsets that he can connect to the corded system phones.............................................................................
  3. There are a couple of systems that will do this. Notably, a Panasonic TDA-50g with DECT sets for both wired and wireless "cell" stations would give you 8-12 lines and about 20 wired and easily some number of wireless sets.. Problem is that each wireless set is about $250 after you install the hardware to reach it. Do you really want to work with all wireless sets? What business and range are you looking for in each set?
