Toshiba Phone System

Who agrees that japan is the most technologically sophisticated country?

Many electronic trends that are popular in these three countries before the rest of the world. Look at sms by your mobile phone or what people in america call text messaging. This trend was popular in Japan in the late 1990s but this did not pick up in the United States and Europe till the early to mid 2000's. Who produces the most reliable cars? Japan. Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acura. Yes, BMW and Mercedes are decent rivals but these days, Lexus and Acura have the edge over them and this is especially prevalent just here in California. American cars used to be the best but today, they just suck big time. Who produces some of the best tv's in the world? Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, etc. several Japanese companies to make things short Who manufactures the leading video game systems and computers? same answer. Sony, Nintendo(video games), Toshiba, and Sega(when it was popular back in the day) Who produces some of the best cameras in the world? Again Sony, Toshiba, Nikon, Canon, etc. As a matter of fact, Japan is the largest consumer electronics manufacturer in the world. I think the US needs to model its electronics industry after Japan's or else we will lose the edge in one thing we have been very strong at: innovation. right now, we have our big, powerful military and the fact that we are a large country to keep us in power but we want to be powerful in all ways. I never said Japan was reliant solely on its consumer electronics industry. I just said it has the largest output in this industry.

  1. Because they don't have enough land to produce anything else. You do realize that it's bad to be completely reliant on one thing as your source of income, right? American cars don't suck. They have some of the most powerful engines in the world, and currently, Ford is experiencing a major rise in sales. That's hardly what I could say about Japan's Toyota. I didn't say you said that Japan heavily relies on it. I'm saying that as a fact, that if you took away electronics from Japan, they would be screwed over. Also, it's because of these, a technique called, 'trading' has been inventing. We give me steel and food, they give us technology. Last time I checked, food was more important than a computer.
  2. The USA invents things Japan copies them.
  3. Yep! They were a technologically backward country during WWII, now look at them!
  4. They make a mean flat panel. You're welcome, Japan, for our troops rebuilding you and our Americans paying for it. It's good you're not mass murdering freaks anymore. PS: I had a Toyota once. It was such a bumpy ride I almost threw up. I was raised on Oldsmobiles and not used to that cheap Japanese crap.
  5. No, not really. I've lived there, in Osaka. They are rather technologically naive. And most, in particular young people of both sexes and older men, are technology-obsessed. But that's not the same as sophisticated.
  6. We would never make an electronics industry like Japan for the same reason Canada, Germany, Britain, France and ect aren't. Since the mid 50's, countries have begun specializing in certain markets to make their products more competitive, for example the US leads in drug development and engineering for planes.
  7. It might seem so, but it is not true. Japan is a very technologically advanced Nation, but America is the most tech advanced. If it wasn't for America (and a lot more countries), Japan would be the most overlooked island on the Earth. Most of the technology that they put out is not of Japanese origin, but of America, and a huge part of European Nations. When it comes to sole products, according to my experience: the best automobiles, for reliability, are either Dodge or Chevy in televisions, it will have to be Sony or Toshiba (which is Japanese) in game systems and computers, it will have to be Microsoft, Sony, and HP in cameras, it goes hands-down to Canon American technology beats the rest of the world, but not by much.
