What are some reasons to get business phones for your employees?

What would be some reason(s) to get employees of a company a company cell phone? I was thinking that it would be good for business because the clients, co-workers, superiors, etc. could reach them better. At the same time though, couldn't I just ask them to get another cell phone themselves, or to have their personal line more available?

1. besides the obvious reasons of making them more available to clients. coworkers, etc. I believe one of the big reasons to get business cell phone accounts is that when an employee leaves the job, their replacement can take over the business cell phone number, which allows a much more seamless transition from the client's point of view. Also, with a business phone, your employees can choose to not answer it when they are not on the clock or when they are on sick/vacation leave. whereas a personal phone will most likely be answered all the time, which just leads to burnout.
