Are Blackberry mobile phones suitable for non business users and are they as good as they look?

I quite fancy a Blackberry mobile but are they as good as they look? Anyone bought one and regretted it?

1. I think they are really good phones, but they are also reallyyy sensitive and you really need to take good care of them. They might also looks fancy but they have really limited features, that cheper phones have and the blackberry dont, It also may depend on the type you have because i had a Blackberry Pearl and even though they are really famous and stuff, they arent that good, i had some really big issues with mineee (charging, Screen locking, etc].....
2. I wouldn't say I'm a business user...a few calls and emails for work but it's 99% social! I've had a few bb's, the pearl flip, the curve 8900 and now the bold 9000 and I've loved them all! I generally have found them all to be very reliable, excellent features and no shortage of things to make life easy! The pearl is small and convienient, and miving up through the range the phones get bigger but they also get better with bigger, clearer screens, easier to use keypads and faster processors! The main thing to remember is that bb's work very differently from other mobile phones...once you learn how it all goes you'll never turn back!! I defniately recommend you give it a go!
