1. To change your IP address is the same way as to change any IP address. Go to the Control Panel from the Start menu. Click "Network and Internet" and then "Network and Sharing Center." Click "Manage network connections." Choose which Internet connection you would like to change if you have more than one. Right click on it and select "Properties." Click the "Networking" tab. Choose either Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6). Click "Obtain an IP Address Automatically" to reset your IP address automatically, then click OK. Click "Use the following IP Address" to enter your own IP settings. Enter your IP address into the boxes marked "IP Address," "Subnet Mask" (or "Subnet prefix length for IP/TCPv6) and "Default gateway".
