How do I turn off my Verizon voice mail for my home phone?

It's so annoying. Have to punch in like 15 numbers to retrieve my voice mail vs hitting the button on my machine. How do I turn it off?

1. either set your answering machine to answer in less rings than it takes for the voice mail to answer, or call verizon and have them turn off your voice mail
2. Check with Verizon's customer support to help you with your voice mail concerns. Or check your cellphone's user manual or guide.
