If someone knew my cell phone's external IP address, and its host name, is my security @ risk?

I downloaded an app, and it allows me access to my external IP address, and my host name. This made me wonder. If someone knew this info, which seems to be a way, possibly, to link up with me, and my cell phone's, activity, online, or during internal system usage, when/if I use it within the vacinity of the person who knows this info, could that person do what I fear, and gain ANY unauthorized data? Consequently, putting my ID in risk of fraud.

1. You have nothing to worry about. There is nothing they can do with just an IP addy. They would need more than just an IP.
