How much of a genius was Nikola Tesla?

I've just been informed that the modern world would come to a stop if we took away all those inventions that Tesla was responsible for. The list is enormous but i'll add some here: NO A/C !!(Alternating Current system) Tesla’s greatest achievement which is today lighting the entire Globe. NO SKYSCRAPERS, NO MOVIES, NO CELL PHONES, NO Wireless communications, NO RADAR, NO ELECTRIC MOTORS, NO REMOTE CONTROLS, NO LEON LIGHTING, NO FLORESCENT LIGHTING, NO LASERS NO BLADELESS TURBINE, NO SOLAR TOWER, NO HYDRALICS, NO X RAYS, NO HOLOGRAMS, NO MAGNIFYING TRANSMITTER, NO SPECIALED LIGHTING AND A PRECURSOR TO THE X-RAY MACHINE, NO VERTICAL TAKE OFF AND LANDING(VTOL)AIRCRAFT, NO TERRESTRIAL STATIONARY WAVES, NO METERS, NO VALVUAR CONDUIT, NO ROBOTICS NO COMPUTING LOGIC CIRCUITS,COMUNICATIONS, NO TEHNOLOGY TO CONTROL SPACECRAFT, NO RADIO ASTRONOMY, NO Artificial intelligence, NO Framework for sending voice and pictures by means of wireless, NO Oscillators, NO Tachometer and speedometer, NO The rotating magnetic field (precursor to gyroscope) NO Electric railroad (subway) NO Harnessing solar power, geothermal and tides, NO Ozone-producing machines, NO Encryption technology and scrambler, No Iphone,blackberry, No Aircon, No IMax, NO DVD, No Blu Ray NO TV, NO PlayStation NO XBOX, NO Gameboy No MRI to detect cancers, No Electric Medical Equipment, No Digital Watch, No Elvis Presley, No Michael Jackson, No Beatles.. The list goes on. My Question is how much of a genius was Tesla and how much of the above is true.

2. You're talking about 9 degrees of seperation or is it 6 degrees? a farmer in Bolvia has a direct effect on the president of the USA through 5 other people and its the same for science. Telsa yes but i could say the same for Newton and his prisms, or Marconi and the radio, archimedes and his dirty bath water. It all stems back to something else much greater.
3. Let's not get carried away. All of those things you have listed would have come to be even without Tesla. Just as they would have without Newton and all the others before and after him. It is the nature of the human race to learn, try things and make improvements. If you want to list everything that came after Tesla and give him credit then maybe you should go back a bit and give credit to the first caveman who used a stone tool. Maybe he was the greatest genius of all. He had no education, books, teachers or the other things that Tesla had.
