Connecting 2 IP PBX together?

I want to upgrade my system from 2 FXS to 4 FXS to allow more than 2 people to make outside calls at the same time. Do I really have to buy a 4 FXS ports IP PBX system or can I just buy a second 2 FXS system and connect both to my LAN Switch? Is this possible? You don't have to explain to me how it is done, I'll have a professional install it. You can answer by yes it is possible or no it is not. I already have 4 PSTN lines. I just need to know what equipments to buy @Colinc: We have 15+VOIP extensions for multiple people around the office. We need to withstand higher call volume. and I checked into buying a 4 FXS ports PBX to replace the one we currently have. It seems to me that going with an additional 2 FXS is cheaper but I do not know it it is possible to connect the 2.

  1. If you have 4 standard PSTN lines, why the expense of an IP system? there are many 4 line PBX available for this.
