How does one forward voice mail messages to another phone?

I've followed the instructions on my voice mail and have tried to send a saved message to another phone, but the person I send it to doesn't receive it. The person I'm trying to send the message to ALSO has AT&T (like me), so how come it's not working? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

1. If it does not work, just call them, and leave a message if they don't answer. But it seems like your trying to leave a message even if they would normally answer the phone? That seems kinda weird.
2. ATT has both GSM and CDMA service. The only thing I can think of is that the two are not compatible and it won't transfer over!
