Business phone system?

I was asked by a friend, what they would need to setup their business with two landlines, one for calls and the other for their fax, but to have at least 4 phones run throughout their business. I wanted to know exactly what they needed to accomplish this??? Can anyone help??

1. My office has 4 phone lines, 3 phones, and a fax machine, does that work? The control unit is a Panasonic TDA-50g, the phones are DT-343's, and the fax machine only is used to send faxes as I get my fax via email at www.maxemail.com. Hey, I sent a fax for my wife last month. On my workbench, I have an NEC DSX-40. It is a digital system and it's a little simpler than the Pana box.
