Toshiba Phone System

System recovery, please HELP!?

I'm in the middle of doing a system recovery on my Toshiba Satellite. I want to delete all data, but not have to reinstall windows or anything like that. I have options: 1. Recover to out-of-box-state (System Recovery Options are included) 2. Recover without changing the hard drive partitions P.S. I'm writing this from my phone :). Thank you. What's a partition? And out of bOx state means with windows installed?

  1. if you recover to out of the box state, it will be like turning on the computer for the very first time, if you have created partitions, and chose option 2, none of your partitions will be touched except for the one with windows on it. in simple words, a partition is bascially making your hard drive into two. you wouldnt touch the hard drive, you would go into the computer and shrink the volume of your hard drive to the size you want, and then like local C, you would have another drive to store files, its useful to make if you have photos and documents that you dont want touched incase you have to reinstall windows, it also helps with having 2 operating systems on one computer out of box means windows will be reinstalled most likely, its like restoring your computer back to the day you first got it.
