Can you download a voice mail off a cell phone onto a computer through a usb connection?

I have a voice mail that I want to keep and possibly email forward to some people as a wmv file.

1. I know you can some how. If you go in to Radio Shack or something they will help you. My boyfriend did that to download a VM from his cell phone to his computer.
2. if your phone has a recorder function dial up the message and record the "conversation", save it as a sound clip and transfer it to your PC.
