How Long should I wait to call back someone after leaving a voice mail?

I'm not talking about for a job interview or to call a guy I like back. I'm talking about just leaving a voice mail for someone that I have a question for. About how long should I wait?

1. I personally would call back again. I know a lot of people do not get around to checking their VM's very often.
2. If it is at work, call again about a half hour before their shift is about to end. (Sooner if you need to have the question answered NOW! If it is an emergency... 30 minutes to an hour.) If it is personal, call them by 8 PM.
3. It would depend on the urgency of your question. If it's something you need to know immediately, by all means call them several times (you don't need to leave a message each time), but if it isn't very important, I would wait longer; maybe even just wait until the next day to call again.
