How to handle so many incoming calls at a reception desk?
We have Ip telephony in our enterprise with 3 sub division, I try to optimise my work by taking the largest number of calls and forwarding them to the right person. The thing is people keep calling again if they get no answer at the destination person. And get alot of other calls that keeps the lines busy. Does anyone has technique to share with me

- In My Eariler Days As A Switch Board Operator, I Use To Handle 48 Extentions On 20 Lines, It was difficult earlier, the best method is to jot down who is callin on what extention and for whom, DO NOT Make The Customer Or Your Boss Hold For More Than 15 Seconds, They Just Can't Take The Wait, No Matter How Busy You Are, Just Say " Can I Please Get Back To You" & Do Get Back !!!!
