Will this work? I was thinking of buying a range booster to increase the wireless signal my laptop picks up and then connecting my laptop to my 20Gb PS3 to try and use that for faster downloading and online play. What do you think????? 1. No you cant plug a USB wifi adapter into the ps3 because you would need the linksys driver which wont run on the ps3.
2. No, it will not work. The internet connection can't be routed through your laptop. The wireless USB adapter will not work either, as the PS3 cannot connect using USb adapters, it needs to be an ethernet based wireless adapter. Try a Wireless Gaming adapter. Unless you have a Wireless N router, buying a Wireless N adapter will give you no benefit, as it will just drop down to Wireless G or B, whatever you have.
