Toshiba laptop recovery

Ok, i have a prob with wmp...keep getting error message C00D11B1, i've googled this and it seems to be a common problem with vista systems. i've tried a few of the so called solutions but nothing has worked. my final idea was to do a full recovery using the cd i got when i bought my laptop but my cd drive doesnt recognise this cd...i phone up toshiba and they wont give me a new one, i have to buy it for £30!!! does anybody know where i can d/l it? i use toshiba equium L40

1. I am sorry to see that Toshiba support is as bad in UK as it is in Canada. Explore your computer and see if you have a drive D: On my laptop that is where my recover Vista is. If you cannot repair Vista the most popular answer is to download and install Realplayer and make it your default player.
