  1. Yes, I have had experience with them, and yes, they have the same voice quality as a landline :) I use Voice Pulse
  2. what do you need to know ? VOIP requires CAT5 or similar cabling - or a broadband line. You cant plug a voip phone into regular phone port - nor into an analogue or digital ext. port in a phone system. signal quality is dependant on the bandwith - the tech is still not quite a reliable as analogue or digital - but getting there
  3. Yes. For VOIP, you just need to install skype from skype.com. Easy to use and voice/video quality is good. The service is free.
  4. Hi, VoiP is generally comparable to a land line, however it is down to bandwith - most broadband or cable lines are more than enough to carry VoiP. It does fluctuate in call quality, but the calls are normally acceptable for a conversation. Many company's supply VoiP, Skype, BT are the 1st two that spring to mind. Remember the VoiP will only work with power, so you need to keep a separate phone for the odd power cut you may get, also the emergency services whist they can track a VoiP call it takes much longer so you may if you need to want use a "standard" land line for those calls. Hope this helps?
  5. Yes, I have had voip for over 4 years and just love it. It has the same quality as an ordinary line, it's just cheaper, and more portable. I've taken it on vacation with me and was able to use my own phone without paying long distance charges (international) - and my family could reach me in my hotel room by making a "local" call. I would suggest if you're not sure if you're ready to switch over just get to try it out for free... I found this site the other day and they offer a free trial... if you like it - cancel your land line... if you don't... no harm no faul... you can at least say that you tried it. I've placed the link below here for you.. like I said - it's free to try and you get a $25 prepaid Amex card.
