what differences do you find in using VoiP and Traditional phone system(PSTN)?

1. Not much of anything anymore. In the beginning they had echo issues and drops. That has been resolved. VoIP works great for companies that spread all over eliminating long distance calling between offices.
2. voip is cheaper ... but the downside is that if the server goes down then you have no phone or 911 and that can be a real problem
3. With most VOIPs you cannot use a fax machine.
