Toshiba Phone System - Does anyone know how to connect/use an IP conference phone with your laptop when working remotely?

Does anyone know how to connect/use an IP conference phone with your laptop when working remotely?

I have an HP laptop and am using bluetooth to connect to the internet. I have a Cisco Systems IP Conference phone that is plugged in correctly. The conference phone is plugged into a power outlet and the port is plugged into my computer. The IP phone keeps saying "Configuring IP" and doesn't do anything else. Does anyone know how to get this conference phone working with my laptop? I would like to be able to have a conference call with this phone. Thank you!
