how do i fix this network error?

i hooked up my videophone (the phone that deaf people use) and i got the "ip address conflict with another system" error. i have 1 laptop and 1 PC all hooked up together in 1 modem. whenever i turn my vp on, that message came on, but when i turn it off, it works again. how do i fix this?

1. Likelyhood is he phone uses a "fixed" ip address, and the 2 PCs use "auto assigned" Set up the router to assign IP's in a different range (start at .10 for example) To find what IP address is causing the conflict, turn on 1 of the computers ONLY, start the vid phone, if it conflicts it is THAT device, if it happens with BOTH turned off, it's a conflict with the router itself, and you need to read the manual for the video phone to change IT's IP address.
