Is it worth switching my business phones to Skype phones?
Are there real cost savings to be made, or is it just another gimmick? I'm based in Ireland and I was wondering if anyone has done this already and if you noticed any cost savings or other points of note.

- yes international skype to skype calls are free
- VoIP service will save you money particularly on long distance phone calls. SIP providers of which Skype is one, here is a list of a few more if you want to compare (http://www.nch.com.au/talk/sip.html). Another plus to using a VoIP service is it is a lot easier to use telephony software to give your phone system so really great functionality that will be a lot cheaper than the traditional hardward counterparts required for a PBX phone switch or music on hold for example. Here are a few links to some economical applications that are great for businesses that you might want to take a look at, that will work with any one of the those SIP providers.
