Toshiba Phone System

Linksys by Cisco Ultra RangePlus wireless system for Mac HELP!?

First off, I'd just like to get answers from people that have successfully hooked up this system to a Mac. I've tried EVERYTHING up until this point to get this system to stay working. It basically works when it wants too, which you can guess is very irritating. It will only work in certain spots and only for a short time before it loses connection and I have to start walking around again. I read up (on here actually) that a cordless phone could be interfering, which we do not have or that a neighbor could be using the same system. Our neighbors aren't close to us so I don't believe that's an issue either. What the heck can be wrong???! Please help!

  1. mine did that when i first hooked it up but it was because i never set it up correctly i didn't have the proper codes for it had to contact my provider for them works great now
  2. The problem is the mac's airport card, Linksys is the BEST router. do this; eliminate EVERYTHING that broadcast in the frequency of 2.4 GHz, like; Cordless phones, car alarm remotes, TV components, etc. Move tham away from the "line of sight" also > replace phones with older models (900MHz) or NEWER ( 5.8 GHz) Get another antenna to replace the 4 inch linksys, they make 6, 8 & 1o inches, they are $ 7-14.. and if all that fails, get a linksys PCMCIA (SIDE PORT) CARD to compensate for the Mac's LOW PERFORMANCE airport card. when we build quad core Mac's , we ALWAYS replace the card with an Intel card or Broadcom.
